Are you an experienced Tenancy Manager looking for your next contract opportunity within the community housing sector?

We are currently partnering with a well-established, purpose-driven organisation seeking a Tenancy Manager to join their Sydney-based team on a 5–6 month contract. This role has arisen due to planned leave across the housing team and offers the opportunity to step into a well-supported portfolio and make an immediate impact.

About the Role
You will manage a diverse portfolio of properties across metropolitan Sydney, supporting tenants to sustain their tenancies while ensuring strong property and compliance outcomes.

This is a predominantly work-from-home role, with travel required for property inspections, tenant meetings, and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the end-to-end tenancy lifecycle, including allocations, sign-ups, transfers, and exits
  • Conduct routine property inspections and coordinate maintenance requests
  • Manage rent accounts, arrears, and tenancy compliance
  • Build positive relationships with tenants, supporting tenancy sustainment
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams and external support services
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and organisational procedures
  • Maintain accurate tenancy records and reporting
About You
  • Proven experience in a Tenancy Manager or Housing Officer role within community or social housing
  • Strong understanding of tenancy legislation and best practice
  • Experience managing arrears, compliance, and tenancy issues
  • Confident working autonomously in a remote environment
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • A trauma-informed and client-centred approach
  • Experience using housing systems such as MRI or Greentree (highly desirable)
  • Valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle
What’s on Offer
  • 5–6 month contract (April/May start through to September)
  • SCHADS Award Level 4–5 (depending on experience)
  • Flexible, work-from-home environment
  • Travel reimbursement in line with the Award (with potential access to shared vehicles)
  • Opportunity to join a supportive and values-driven organisation
If you’re available for a contract role and ready to hit the ground running, we’d love to hear from you.
