We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Team Leader to join a well-established residential service supporting young adults with disabilities in the Ryde area. This role has a great opportunity for career progression.

Based at a small home, you will support 3–4 high-intensity participants, providing both hands-on care and team leadership in a stable and supportive environment.

This is a unique opportunity to step into a settled service and play a key role in leading the team, maintaining continuity of care, and supporting a smooth transition within the home.

About the Role:
This is a hands-on leadership position, combining frontline support with team coordination and operational oversight.

You will:
  • Lead, mentor, and support a small team of disability support workers
  • Provide direct, high-quality care to participants with complex needs
  • Deliver person-centred, trauma-informed support
  • Oversee daily operations, including rostering, documentation, and reporting
  • Ensure compliance with NDIS Practice Standards and safeguarding requirements
  • Build strong relationships with families, allied health professionals, and stakeholders
  • Promote a safe, respectful, and positive home environment
About You

You bring a balance of leadership capability and genuine passion for supporting people with complex needs.

You will have:
  • Experience in disability or community services, ideally in residential care
  • Proven ability to lead teams in high-intensity or complex support environments
  • Confidence supporting participants with challenging behaviours and/or complex health needs
  • Strong understanding of NDIS frameworks, documentation and compliance
  • Good time management with administration tasks and compliance
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • A hands-on, adaptable approach with strong accountability
Requirements
  • Relevant qualification in Disability, Community Services or related field
  • 5-6 years of industry experience ideal
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Valid Working With Children Check (NSW)
  • Current First Aid & CPR
  • Full Australian working rights
  • Drivers license
