We’re recruiting experienced Disability Support Workers for casual opportunities in and around the Hornsby area of Sydney.

You’ll have a dedicated rostering team you can connect with personally, alongside technology that makes managing your shifts easier.

About the role You’ll provide practical, person-centred support that helps people build everyday skills, participate in their communities and lead meaningful lives.

Depending on the placement and each person’s needs, your responsibilities may include:

• Supporting daily living activities and personal care.
• Administering medication in line with training and procedures.
• Encouraging independence, choice and community participation.
• Following individual support plans and behaviour support strategies.
• Maintaining accurate records and communicating with your team.

What you’ll bring

• At least six months’ paid experience in a similar role.
• A minimum Certificate III in Disability, Individual Support, Aged Care or a related qualification.
• An understanding of restrictive practices.
• Experience administering medication and providing personal care.
• The ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Highly regarded experience and training

• PEG feeding training and experience.
• Experience driving a people mover or minibus.
• Medication administration and manual handling training.
• Therapeutic Crisis Intervention or behaviour management training.

Required checks and licences

• NDIS Worker Screening Check.
• Working With Children Check.
• Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
• Full NSW driver licence.
• Two professional references.
• COVID-19 vaccination, including a booster.
