Clinical Claim Specialist - 3-month contract | Bowen Hills. RN/OT/Physio reviewing aged care claims and service classifications in a quality assurance

- AHPRA registered RN, OT or Physiotherapist required
- Office-based QA role reviewing aged care claims and service eligibility
This is an excellent opportunity for a Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist, or Physiotherapist who is looking to step into a clinical advisory and quality assurance role, applying their clinical expertise in a non-client-facing, office-based environment.
The role will play a key part in ensuring the accurate classification and review of aged care services and claims under the Support at Home program and AT-HM scheme, helping maintain compliance, data integrity, and quality outcomes for older Australians.
As part of a collaborative team working across finance, quality and operational functions, you will apply clinical reasoning to assess service eligibility, review invoices and claims, and provide subject matter expertise to internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Review supplier invoices and assess alignment of services against the Support at Home service list and eligibility criteria
- Apply clinical judgement to classify services accurately before submission to Services Australia
- Identify and flag inconsistencies between claimed services and client funding pathways
- Conduct quality assurance reviews of claim batches and recommend corrections where required
- Provide clinical expertise to internal teams regarding service classification and program rules
- Support process improvement initiatives, identifying gaps and recommending solutions
- Contribute to training and guidance for internal teams and stakeholders
You will be a clinically trained professional who enjoys applying your expertise in an analytical, detail-focused role.
Essential requirements
- Current AHPRA registration as a
- Registered Nurse,
- Occupational Therapist, or
- Physiotherapist
- Minimum 2 years post-registration clinical experience
- Strong clinical reasoning and analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to review high-volume information
- Ability to explain complex clinical or funding rules to non-clinical stakeholders
- Strong systems and digital literacy
- Experience in aged care, community or home care services
- Exposure to claims review, billing QA or funding frameworks
- Knowledge of Support at Home or aged care program rules
