Position Overview: As a Mental Health Clinician, you will play a pivotal role in providing vital support to young people within the school community. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting assessments, delivering evidence-based interventions, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure the well-being and mental health of students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Actively participate in the school's wellbeing team meetings and relevant campus activities.
  • Provide professional consultation to teaching staff on supporting students' engagement in learning.
  • Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments using specified tools and assessments.
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions to students presenting with mental health and psychosocial issues.
  • Provide care coordination support, including referrals to external agencies and collaboration with care team members.
  • Engage families and carers in treatment planning and support as needed.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and participate in clinical review meetings and supervision.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant field.
  • Registration with AHPRA, ACA, PACFA, AASW, or eligibility for membership with relevant associations.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing therapeutic interventions to young people.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • High level of computer literacy, including proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Current state-based driver's license.
Highly Regarded:
  • Postgraduate qualification in a related field.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to sit at a computer for extended periods.
  • Mobility to walk around the school campus and travel between campuses as needed.
