This is a critical leadership role at a pivotal time for the organisation, focused on strengthening governance, embedding robust risk frameworks, and leading key accreditation outcomes.
The Opportunity You will step into a senior leadership position with a clear mandate to stabilise, lead, and build capability within a relatively new but experienced team, ensuring strong foundations across governance, compliance, and quality.
This role will suit someone who thrives in environments requiring structure, clarity, and influence—balancing strategic oversight with hands-on delivery.
Key Priorities
- Team Leadership & Stabilisation
Lead, support, and develop a team that is new to the organisation but brings strong sector experience - Accreditation & Quality Assurance
- Lead the organisation through OOHC accreditation
- Drive readiness for ASES accreditation in November
- Ensure audit readiness and continuous improvement across all services
- Governance, Risk & Compliance
- Strengthen and embed a robust enterprise risk management framework
- Oversee compliance obligations across a highly regulated OOHC environment
- Ensure strong governance practices aligned with legislative and regulatory standards
- Systems & Transformation
- Lead the implementation of a Governance & Risk system (Folio)
- Improve visibility, reporting, and accountability across risk and compliance functions
You will bring:
- Proven experience leading accreditation and audit processes
- Strong knowledge of risk, compliance, and governance frameworks
- Experience working with executive teams, Boards, and committees
- The ability to build trust, influence stakeholders, and lead change
- A practical, solutions-focused approach with strong attention to detail
