Be Recruitment is seeking a dynamic and experienced Supported Independent Living (SIL) Team Leader to join our client in the Wollongong Area. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing a team of support workers, ensuring high-quality service delivery, and promoting the independence and well-being of participants.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of support workers to deliver high-quality support services to clients in a supported independent living environment.
  • Develop and implement individualised support plans in collaboration with clients, their families, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with NDIS standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Monitor and review service delivery to ensure it meets the needs and goals of clients.
  • Provide regular supervision, training, and professional development opportunities for support workers.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive team culture that promotes collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, including client progress reports and incident reports.
  • Liaise with external agencies, healthcare professionals, and other service providers to coordinate comprehensive support for clients.
  • Form part of the regular roster which will include working 2-3 shifts per week. 
  • Participate in a on-call roster. 
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Minimum of a Certificate III in Disability Support, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role within the disability sector.
  • Strong understanding of NDIS standards and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Commitment to promoting the rights, independence, and dignity of people with disabilities.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Valid Australian driver's licence and willingness to travel as required.
  • Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
