We are partnering with a highly regarded community services organisation to recruit a Team Leader for a brand-new Youth Trauma Service launching in the ACT. This is a rare opportunity to lead the establishment of an innovative, multidisciplinary program supporting young people with complex needs.

The Opportunity As Team Leader, you will provide clinical and operational leadership to a multidisciplinary team while supporting the implementation and growth of a new therapeutic service model. You will play a critical role in embedding trauma-informed practice, workforce capability development, and collaborative service partnerships.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Leading and supervising clinicians and support staff within a multidisciplinary youth trauma team
  • Overseeing intake, triage, allocation, risk management, and clinical governance processes
  • Supporting recruitment, onboarding, performance development, and staff wellbeing initiatives
  • Embedding trauma-informed, culturally safe and youth-centred practice frameworks
  • Managing service operations including workforce planning, rostering, and workflow coordination
  • Strengthening partnerships with youth mental health, AOD, family support and community services
  • Contributing to service development, quality improvement and outcome monitoring
About You:

We are seeking an experienced clinical leader who is passionate about youth mental health, trauma recovery and building high-performing teams.

You will bring:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, Nursing, Occupational Therapy or a related discipline
  • Eligibility for professional registration or membership (e.g., AHPRA, AASW or equivalent)
  • Demonstrated experience providing therapeutic support to young people with complex mental health and psychosocial presentations
  • Experience supervising or leading multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong clinical risk management, service coordination and stakeholder engagement capability
  • Ability to drive service development, workforce capability and clinical quality frameworks
  • Current driver’s licence
