AIN's
Assistants in Nursing (AIN) are a category of non-regulated healthcare workforce. This role assists the delivery of patient and work under the direction of a nurse.
RN's
Registered nurses treat and care for people who are sick, disabled or injured. They also offer support to patients and their families through the treatment process. Work is in hospitals, clinics, aged care settings and other health care facilities in the community. Practicing RN’s are required to uphold AHPRA registration
Facilities Managers
Generally needs to have current AHPRA registration, commitment to Quality Improvement and Aged Care Accreditation standards. Prior clinical experience in aged care, knowledge of Aged Care Act, best practice documentation and demonstrated experience in mentoring & supervising a multi-disciplinary team of staff.
Case Management
Generally Case Management roles in Aged Care are focused on Home Care Package (HCP) this might also include some experience of NDIS. Ideally you will have experience within the role or similar positions. The role provides in-home assessments, referrals, care plan reviews & goal planning for clients. Client budget management & reporting. Exceptional communication skills with clients to advise on changing care needs. The role requires some travel often to conduct regular home visits with clients in person and/or over the phone to ensure the highest level of care is being attained while also determining any changing needs or requirement for additional services. Clean driver’s license and often roles need qualifications in human services and if clinical case management a Registered Nurse is also required.
Coordinators
Care Managers
Similar to Facilities Management with current AHPRA Registration. Between 3 – 5 years’ experience in leadership/management in aged care.
A good working knowledge of clinical governance, Aged Care Legislation. Experoience aceoss all administrative requirements including care plans and other programs.
